This Week in Comics

Marvel released Death of Wolverine Wednesday as part of a weekly event all September long. Written at the helm of She-Hulk’s Charles Soule, Logan, better known as Wolverine, is given three months to live after he loses his healing factor. Will the man who has lived a century finally meet his demise? Steve McNiven (Guardians of the Galaxy) is handling pencils, with inking by Jay Leisten (Iron Man), and colors by Justin Ponsor (Avengers Assemble).

DC Comics announced on its website the new titles added to their digital first line up. The titles include Sensation Comics Featuring Wonder Woman, Arrow: Season 2.5 and The Flash: Season Zero. The latter two are based off of the CW shows Arrow and The Flash respectively. Arrow: Season 2.5 and The Flash: Season Zero will alternate releases on Mondays and Sensation Comics Featuring Wonder Woman will release on Thursdays.

Dynamite Comics released Wednesday a fictionalized universe centered on rock singer Alice Cooper in an ongoing series with his name as the title. In this premiere issue, readers will discover that behind the Prince of Darkness and his macabre stage shows is the Lord of Nightmares, who delivers darkness and horrors to those he’s deemed deserved it. Written by Joe Harris (Great Pacific) with art by Eman Casallos (Jennifer Blood), the series will follow Alice Cooper’s journey in gaining back his powers, which were taken away when he was cast outside of the realm he once lived in.
