The Voice live shows continue with the second half of the contests performing. Team Pharrell and Team Gwen took the stage to perform and to impress the fans watching and voting at home.
Kicking off the night was Pharrell who performed his latest single “Hunter” which is featured on his album GIRL. Williams was wearing a No Doubt shirt during his performance, the relationship between Williams and Stefani has always been a highlight of the show and their bond seems to only be getting stronger.

Opening the live show was Ryan Sill from Team Gwen. Stefani selected the songs for each contestant to perform. For Sill she chose “I Lived” by One Republic. Levine started the comments by saying that from the beginning it was clear he was one to watch and that his pitch was amazing. Shelton added that it was a truly incredible performance. Stefani said that she was delighted with the performance and that she loved how he came across on stage.
Next up was Team Pharrell’s Jean Kelley. Kelley performed “Piano in the Dark.” Stefani, who was her former coach, said that the performance was good but that she needed to work on the believability factor of the song and that the drama was overwhelming during the performance, Levine agreed with Stefani. Williams added that Kelley needed to keep pushing and that this is just the start for her.

Following Kelley was Elyjuh Rene from Team Pharrell. Williams chose the current chart topping hit “Latch” for Rene to perform. Stefani opened up the comments by saying that it was an excellent song choice and Rene is very talented. Levine repeated “wow” a few times and went into his comments, which included that the performance was perfect and that he became the front-runner for Team Pharrell. Williams agreed with his fellow coaches comments and that he really showed the world who he is.
Team Gwen’s Bryana Salaz. Stefani chose a stripped down version of 5 Seconds of Summer’s “Amnesia.” Levine started off the comments by saying that there is a lot of power and potential with her partnership with Stefani as her coach. Shelton said that he felt that he really saw her get better as an artist within that performance. Williams added that Stefani is really the perfect coach for her because she is able to bring out the performance and emotion within her.
Next up was Luke Wade representing Team Pharrell. Wade performed a timeless classic “Let’s Get It On” by Marvin Gaye. Stefani opened up the comments by saying that she really got lost in the moment and it was an effortless performance. Levine said that everything that Wade does every time is great. Shelton added that in fact some people “did get it on” during that performance.
Following Wade was Anita Antoinette from Team Gwen, she sang “All About That Bass.” Levine started off the comments by saying that he loved her and that he just wants to hang out with her because she is so cool. Shelton added that it is hard to believe that Antoinette is someone that ever had stage freight. Williams said that he was so proud of her and that she is clearly inspired and has risen to the occasion. Stefani said that tonight was great and the song choice worked very well.
DaNica Shirey from Team Pharrell was up next to the Voice stage. Shirey performed “Help Me.” Stefani added that is happy that this song was performed on the show and that Shirey sounded beautiful. Shelton added that he had never heard that song before but the singing was perfect. Williams congratulated his artists and reminder her that all she needed to do was believe and she impressed everyone.
Sugar Jones followed Shirey also from Team Pharrell. Jones sang “I Say A Little Prayer” by Aretha Franklin. Stefani commented by saying that the whole performance was perfect for Jones. Levine added that Jones really took us all to church. Shelton said that was the best performance of the night so far. Coach Pharrell added that he was so proud of Jones and that he felt every moment of the song.
The performances continued with Ricky Manning from Team Gwen. Manning was stolen by Stefani from Williams. Stefani chose “Lay Me Down” by Sam Smith for Manning to perform. Levine started off the comments by saying that was a great performance and that he is really making the audience believe in him. Manning’s former coach said that it clear that Manning really wants to win this competition. Coach Gwen added that the performance was tasteful and also showcased his personality as an artist.
Closing the show was Taylor John Williams from Team Gwen who performed “Stuck in the Middle.” Levine said that this performance was a whole different side of him and a new way to perform that classic song. Shelton added it was another great job and the halftime thing worked for this song. Stefani and Williams came together for their comments. Both of them added that the blues feel of the song was great and they both love him.
The live shows will continue next week on NBC.
