Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt attended her Unbroken premiere in Sydney, Australia on Monday, marking their first appearance as a married couple.

While Jolie spoke to the media about her second directorial effort about Olympian turned WWII veteran Louis Zamperini, who died at the age of 97 in July, Pitt kept fans entertained by posing for selfies with them for over an hour.

Sydney Morning Herald notes the film was shot across Australia so it was special that the premiere took place there. Pitt even flew there to be with his wife of three months for her big night.

Jolie talked about their children seeing the film, with their 8-year-old daughter Shiloh being particularly moved by Zamperini’s story of surviving being a prisoner of war.

"Shiloh is very connected emotionally to him," she said. "She wants to see it most of all. They're all very, very emotional about the story, and I look forward to them seeing it because I think it's very good for children. I think it's got some good messages in it."

The film is adapted from Laura Hillenbrand's book Unbroken. Jack O’Connell plays Zamperini.

E! Online rpeorts Jolie said at the Hollywood Film Awards on Friday, “As a director, to have Jack in front of your lens is a gift. He draws you in, he makes every moment honest. In his work, he gives all that he has."
