Dallas and Brad Woodhouse were on C-SPAN’s Washington Journal this morning and got a surprise caller during the call-in segment: their mother.
At the beginning of the segment, they were happy to get a call from someone in the South, but they were really shocked. The moment the woman began speaking, they knew exactly who it was.
“Oh god, it’s mom!” Dallas said first, notes Mediate. Then, Brad bowed his head and both looked a little embarrassed.
Their mother, Joy, was allowed to stay on the line of course and talked about how happy she was that the two can get their disagreements out of their system on television. That way, there won’t be any telling matches during Christmas.
Host Steve Scully stressed to the viewers that it wasn’t planned, as Joy called in just like any other caller. However, while she was there, he had to ask what it was like to raise them.
This is the latest surprise for Scully’s Washington Journal. Last month, a caller used the n-word to describe President Obama, forcing Scully to cut him off and apologize.
