Authorities in France are continuing to hunt for a female suspect they believe served as an accomplice to Islamic militants responsible for the recent attacks at a satirical newspaper and kosher deli.

FoxNews.com reported that police said that the suspected accomplice on the run is Hayat Boumeddiene, who married Amedy Coulibaly in a 2009 Islamic religious ceremony that is not recognized under French law. Coulibaly was shot and killed by police during a raid at the kosher market.

French law enforcement also said that the 26-year-old Boumeddiene is thought to have been involved in the killing of a policewoman outside of Paris.

Reuters noted that 17 victims lost their lives in the deadly attacks that took place in France over the span of 72 hours.

On Wednesday, 12 people were killed after gunmen stormed the Charlie Hebdo offices. The female police officer was fatally shot on Thursday and on Friday, four hostages were killed during the siege at the deli.

While the suspected gunmen are dead, Bounmeddiene’s whereabouts remain unknown.
