With the Grammys being presented later today, focus has been turned to the artists nominated. Fans squabble over their favorites while critics voice opinions about who should win as opposed to who will win. The musicians, meanwhile, must prepare for this evening as if they will win but also prepared to put on a good face if they lose.
A mixture of rock and pop, this band has continued to grow in popularity and uniqueness over the years instead of fade into the past. However, the ending of this group’s music might be coming soon. The band’s lead vocalist Chris Martin told Billboard that the seventh album they are working on will be the last: “It's our seventh thing, and the way we look at it, it's like the last Harry Potter book or something like that… I have to think of it as the final thing we're doing. Otherwise we wouldn't put everything into it."
Perhaps this potential conclusion might make these 57th Grammys even more important to Coldplay. Currently, the band is nominated for Ghost Stories as Best Pop Vocal Album, Ghost Stories as Best Music Film and “A Sky Full of Stars” for Best Pop Dou/Group Performance. Here are some of the best songs that Coldplay has made over the years, including the ones from tonight’s show.
