NBC is already a leg up on its competitors when it comes to the 2015-2016 TV season. The network ordered three new shows to go straight-to-series, including a new Chicago Fire spinoff and another medical drama.

The series orders for Chicago Med, Blindspot and Heartbreaker were reported by TV Line.

Up first is Chciago Med, which was first reported on in February and members of the upcoming show were first seen in the April 7 episode of Chicago Fire. The cast feeatures Oliver Platt, S. Epatha Merkerson, Yaya DaCosta, Laure Holden and Nick Gehlfuss. It is the second Fire spinoff after PD.

(Both PD and Fire were renewed for the fall already.)

A pilot for Blindspot was ordered in Janaury and the results obviously impressed NBC. The seires comes from The Flash’s Greg Berlanti and stars Thor’s Jamie Alexander as a woman who mysteriously wakes up in the nude in Times Square, covered with strange tattoos. She has no idea how she got there, but an FBI agent (Sullivan Stapleton) might be able to help.

Heartbreaker, which was once known as Heart Matters, centers on Dr. Alex Panttiere (Melissa George). She’s known around the world as a heart-transplant surgeon, but only operates on her own terms. She also struggles with her personal life. Sounds like a new House.
