Tom Daley and Dustin Lance Black announce engagement

Olympic diver Tom Daley and screenwriter Dustin Lance Black are engaged after two years of dating.

The couple announced their engagement through The Times newspaper in the wedding and deaths section which, as E! Online noted, was the same way Benedict Cumberbatch announced his engagement to Sophie Hunter last year.

"The engagement is announced between Tom, son of Robert and Debra Daley of Plymouth, and Lance, son of Jeff Bisch of Philadelphia and Anne Bisch of Lake Providence,” the announcement read.

We previously reported that the two began dating in 2013 after Daley came out that he was dating a man via a YouTube video.

The 21-year-old Brit is a former diving champion and won the bronze medal at the 2012 Olympic Games in London. Black, 41, is a writer and producer who wrote the screenplay for the Oscar-winning movie Milk starring Sean Penn. The pair previously said that they are not at all bothered by their 20-year age difference.

So far no date for their nuptials has been given.
