Motörhead’s lead singer and front man, Lemmy Kilmister, passed away on December 28, after a short battle with an aggressive form of cancer. He learned of the cancer only a few days before on December 26, shortly after his birthday on Christmas Eve. This 70 year old man had an amazing musical career with an accumulation of 22 recorded Motörhead studio albums with notable hits such as the song “Ace of Spades” and the album Bad Magic according to RollingStone.

Also, Lemmy is known to have participated in the music group Hawkwind from 1972-1975. Hawkwind is a British space rock band that was very popular in the 70’s and 80’s with their most famous hit, Silver Machine, which released as a single in 1972 according to AllMusic.com.
