Justin Timberlake takes jab at Donald Trump at iHeartRadio Music Awards

The iHeartRadio awards were held last night and one of the presenters was Justin Timberlake, who gave an honorary award to Taylor Swift. During his presentation, the singer cracked a joke about a certain Republican presidential candidate.

Timberlake was on hand to present Swift with an award for Best Tour and he took the time to take a jab at Donald Trump, mentioning his controversial ideas on immigration.

While speaking about Swift’s talent and the steps she took to cross barriers in her music, Timberlake said, “Some people are trying to build walls. We ain’t out here naming no names. That was a political joke.”

Amid roars of laughter from the crowd, Timberlake went back to Swift, saying, “Taylor chooses to knock down walls and invite everyone to be on her #squad.”

As a thank you, Swift posted to Instagram, calling him a “hero.”

In addition to the Best Tour win, Swift also took home awards for Album of the Year and Female Vocalist of the Year. She had been nominated for eight awards.

Song of the Year went to Adele’s “Hello” and Swift’s boyfriend Calvin Harrison won Dance Artist of the Year.

Hero status, friend status, all time fav status. @justintimberlake thank you for absolutely everything.
