Justin Bieber looks back on DUI: 'The best is yet to come'

Looks like Justin Bieber has come to terms with his transgressions and is ready to love himself!

After a 2014 DUI and an overall troubled few years, the 23 year-old singer reflected on his past in a post on Instagram on Sunday, April 23.

The post, which shows a side-by-side comparison of Bieber's mug shot and a photo of him today, is captioned, "I LOVE THIS because it reminds me IM NOT EXACTLY WHERE I WANT TO BE BUT THANK GOD IM NOT WHERE I USED TO BE!! THE BEST IS YET TO COME DO YOU BELIEVE IT?"

The "Sorry" singer was brought up on DUI charges and arrested in January 2014 in Miami Beach, Florida. Further charges included driving with an expired license and resisting arrest. It was later revealed that Bieber had admitted to smoking marijuana, drinking alcohol and taking Xanax.

Bieber revealed more about his night in jail in an interview with Complex magazine.

"It’s freezing; it’s uncomfortable," he said. "There are people in there you just don’t want to be around. I had people who were yelling at me. They were saying, 'Bieber! We fuck with you, bro! We love you! Aye! Keep your head up, bro!' It was kind of funny to hear that, especially from cats in jail."

While many were hesitant to expect much of the singer after the incident, his 2015 album Purpose received much critical acclaim as well as tremendous fan support.
