Will Smith breaks 1 million YouTube subscribers, shares excitement on 'The Tonight Show'

Will Smith

Watch out YouTube, there's a new star vlogging in style.

Will Smith launched his YouTube channel last December, after partnering with Netflix for his blockbuster Bright, and has already clocking over 1 million subscribers.

It's no surprise Smith has done so, as he celebrated his crossover from traditional fame to the YouTube platform on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Here's a trailer for the heat Smith is bringing, which Fallon awarded the Gold Button for.

Will Smith had passed the 1 million subscribers mark on March 8, so in keeping with the vlogging experience, he strapped a Snorricam on (logistically on his waist pointing at his face), and taped the before and during the Fallon episode.  Jimmy Fallon assisted in reaction with a magic video recording drone. The video with Fallon has racked up already over 1,300,000 views.

Will Smith has published 14 spectacularly done vlogs, traveling the world and doing awesome stunts, seeing spectacular sights, and interacting with people while recording the celebrity experience. He also tells stories of his life like the video Painful Awakening.

This YouTube crossover is no joke since he's done work with YouTube stars, like Lily Singh.

In his latest video, Will Smith said, “I got tons of stuff that I’m looking forward to doing.”

On Fallon, the two stars made a satire of the high tech recording equipment. Fallon had told Smith, that he has, “gone YouTube stupid.”

Will Smith is experimenting with blogging and vlogging, breaking into internet stardom, but since he is already established he can experiment with the form, almost instantly, which others can't do.

Also, Smith's Instagram account, which he has been building more recently, has 13.2 million followers, showing off his dance technique and beautiful nature footage. So expect more to come from him on other platforms.

Smith said at the end of his vlog with Jimmy Fallon, “I have platinum records and Grammys and all that, but I was really excited to get that Play Button. But I heard Jimmy Fallon got a Diamond Play Button, so I need that," according to TubeFilter.

Watch Will Smith's channel in the months to come because surely he's going to create great content which can be subscribed too! As of now, Will Smith has 1,429,605 and counting!
