George Oliphant, the popular host of NBC's Emmy award-winning George to the Rescue is a handy guy to have around.  He is skilled at all things DIY, but he also strives to keep his wife, the mother of his kids happy by completing all of the items on his honey-do list.

George Oliphant has some great tips for gifts anyone can make that will delight the important moms in your life for Mother's Day.

George got his training as a member of a touring theater company.  Get got his start in tv as a veejay for MTVu, the college music channel by MTV.  Always loving handyman projects and carpentry, he began the show Open House to the Rescue where he and his crew would go around saving the homes of people in need.  This show eventually became George to the Rescue.

Making gifts for mom is always a popular idea, but what should someone who isn't naturally gifted at crafting make?
