BTS has made chart history with the number one spot debut of their new album Love Yourself: Answer on the Billboard 200.

BTS is the first pop band to earn two Billboard 200-topping LPs since One Direction in 2014. They are also the first K-Pop band to ever reach the chart.

The last time a foreign language album grabbed the top spot was in 2006, says Billboard. That album was Il Divo’s Ancora.

This trend in non-English albums and songs is growing rapidly. Last summer it was Luis Fonsi's "Despacito" which hit the Hot 100 making it the first song since 1996's Macarena to earn a spot there.

Hitting the number 7 spot on the Billboard 200 this week is Aura from Puerto Rican reggaeton star Ozuna. His first album, Odisea, debuted and peaked at No. 22 in 2017.

It was the biggest sales week in history for not only BTS but K-Pop as a whole.

Plus, BTS is right behind Justin Timberlake and Ariana Grande at number 3 for the largest week of the year for a pop album.

Love Yourself: Answer has ten new tracks, plus 14 songs previously released on Love Yourself: Her and Love Yourself: Tear. Answer's digital version also features a remix of  “Idol” which features Nicki Minaj.
