'Star Wars' actor Peter Mayhew battles TSA and wins over light saber cane

Peter Mayhew, most notable for his role as the loving Star Wars character Chewbacca, proved just why Star Wars is still alive in all of us after the 69-year-old actor revealed the trouble he ensued with the TSA.

According to Fox News, Mayhew was returning to his home state of Texas from a Denver Comic Con convention when he was stopped by the TSA over his cane.

The cane was reportedly constructed to look like a light saber and was therefore deemed a weapon, a wookie mistake on behalf of the TSA.

Mayhew, who towers at a whopping 6’7”, took to Twitter following the event where he hilariously explained, “In the caffufel of the cane… Giant man need giant cane… small cane snap like toothpick.... besides ... my light saber cane is just cool.. I would miss it.”

Thankfully, Chewy’s light saber…cane was returned unharmed.

Mayhew shared a series of photos of the TSA with the cane all the while revealing that the cane is back in his possession.
