For the second consecutive year, President Barack Obama has filled out an NCAA tournament bracket for ESPN and he has once again made relatively conservative predictions. President Obama, who is a self-admitted basketball enthusiast, has selected two number one seeds and two number two seeds to advance to the Final Four in 2010. The number one seeds that he has predicted to make the men’s Final Four are Kansas, from the Midwest region, and Kentucky, from the East region.

The Associated Press is reporting that golfer Tiger Woods confirmed earlier today that he will be making his return to the PGA tour at April’s Masters event. Woods released a statement to confirm his plans and announce his much anticipated return to the tour after a four month hiatus. He last competed on November 15, 2009 at the Australian Masters, which was a tournament that he won just twelve days prior to the infamous car accident that occurred outside of his Florida residence.

During Sunday’s matchup between AC Milan and Chievo Verona, international football star David Beckham sustained a ruptured Achilles tendon in his left leg and the injury will prevent him from competing in his fourth World Cup. Beckham had been playing on-loan for AC Milan from the MLS’ Los Angeles Galaxy in order to secure his position on England’s World Cup squad and his injury has certainly dealt a substantial blow to their chances in the tournament, which is slated to begin on June 11th in South Africa.

Lindsay Vonn Wins Super-G to Claim 3rd Straight World Cup Title

American downhill skier Lindsay Vonn, who became a mainstream media sensation during the 2010 Winter Olympics, won the Super-G race on Friday morning.

The Associated Press is reporting that American downhill skier Lindsay Vonn won the Super-G race on Friday morning to claim her third consecutive World Cup title. Vonn was the final skier to make her way down Kandahar hill during the Super-G and she clinched her World Cup victory with her performance in Friday’s race in combination with the finish of Germany’s Maria Riesch, who finished fourth. Due to their respective finishes, Vonn has accumulated an insurmountable 215 point lead heading into the season’s final race, which is the slalom on Saturday.

Roethlisberger Accused of Sexual Assault

The Steeler's quarterback has been accused again.

Pittsburh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has been accused of sexual assault by two different women.

A woman was allegedly assaulted Friday morning at Capital City - a club in Milledgeville, Georgia. The woman told police the sexual assault took place in the women's restroom of the nightclub. According to law enforcement sources the woman was treated at a local hospital and released.

In addition to the Milledgeville Police Department, the Georgia Bureau of Investigations is also investigating the matter. Roethlisberger has not been charged with a crime.

Tiger Woods Is Not Amused With PETA Billboard

Women’s Figure Skating Wraps Up Competition

Though the competition finished up much as expected, Kim Yu-na excelled beyond many expectations

With only the long program remaining in the women’s figure skating competition at the Vancouver Olympics, most people were certain that the medals would come down to the final group of skaters that consisted of the top six from the short program. These skaters included, Kim Yu-na of South Korea, two Japanese skaters, two American skaters, and the hope for the Canadians, Joannie Rochette.

ESPN host Tony Kornheiser was given a two-week suspension by the network from his television talk show "Pardon the Interruption" for what were deemed as inappropriate comments he made on the radio about SportsCenter anchor Hannah Storm's clothing.

U.S. Ice Dancers Take the Silver

Ice dancing pair Meryl Davis and Charlie White take home the silver medal in Vancouver.

Before Monday night’s free skate, most people could have told you that it was between the United States pair David and White and Canadian pair Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir for the gold medal in ice dancing.

Unfortunately for American fans, the Canadians came out on top in this particular event, scoring 221.57 points. However, a silver medal is nothing to be ashamed about. Davis and White were extremely excited about their final performance which featured music from the Broadway classic ‘The Phantom of the Opera.’ They scored a total of 215.74 points.

Bode Gets a Gold

Olympic skier Bode Miller takes home a gold medal in Vancouver.

Things seem to be looking up for Bode Miller. The 32-year-old Olympian won a gold medal in the super combined skiing on Sunday in Vancouver. This is his first ever gold medal, and it seems to be an indicator of his unexpected success at the Olympics.

Though people expected Miller to do well, perhaps no one expected him to be putting up this kind of performance. With two events still remaining, Bode Miller has already earned a gold, silver, and bronze medal at these Olympic Games, fueling much speculation on whether he can win medals in his remaining events.
