Jim Gaffigan
Beyond the Pale

Want laughter in your life? OK then, get yourself Jim Gaffigan's "Beyond the Pale" and you'll be laughing into silly, silly land; so much so, that your friends might commit you, if they, themselves, haven't been already. Jim Gaffigan is also an accomplished actor who has starred in television and movies and frequently appears on Letterman and Conan, and that's nothing to laugh about/or is it?

The naturalness of Jim Gaffigan's performances are masterpieces of meticulously clever routines. I found myself preparing, like an athlete, for my big laugh to bowl me over. It did. But all that preparation didn't do anything to help get the kinks out of my side from laughing so incredible hard.

Twenty-one golden routines on the album go by so fast you're going to need to sit in for a second show. My favorites are "Opening," "I Love Food," "Packaging," "The Grocery Store," "Eat Like An American," "Delivery," "The Case Against Cinnabons," "Cake," "Holidays," "Catholic" and "Heaven".

Yes, the man loves to talk about food, so it's probably not a good idea to be munching on snacks; you're likely to spit them all over yourself, or whoever is sitting next to or across from you.

Find out for yourself how funny and immensely entertaining Jim Gaffigan's "Beyond the Pale" is. Now here's a comedian you'll want to see live. I know I do.
