Paramount has opted for a sequel to the live-action G.I. Joe movie, and Zombieland writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick have been confirmed as writers for the film.
They are also working on Zombieland 2 and the X-men movie, Deadpool. The new G.I. Joe movie will hopefully have the same cast and a new bit of humor with the new writing team, maybe as good as the comic antics of Zombieland.
The Deadpool movie should have some nice comedy as well, with funny man Ryan Reynolds starring as the disfigured anti hero. Deadpool, or Wade Wilson in his former life, was a mercenary who was experimented on to become the ultimate weapon for hunting down mutants. His character is perfect for Reynolds, as shown with his tiny bits of dialog in X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
Deadpool has always been a bit of a smart-ass, and frequently breaks the fourth wall by talking to the audience and showing that he is aware that he is a story. Hopefully this will be taken full advantage of in the new movie.
