Attention all Spice Girls Fans: Our favorite girl band is coming back!
The girls are not returning to music, but are returning to the big screen! Yes, a sequel to the 1997 Spice World has been confirmed by Emma Bunton, otherwise known as Baby Spice. The film didn't impress critics but had millions of fans show up to the movies to see their five favorite girls.
"Now we're all involved in the new Spice Girls film," Emma told the Sunday Mirror's Celebs Magazine.
All five Spice Girls, Emma, Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell, Mel Brown and Mel Chisholm, will be featured in the sequel. The sequel has a potential name of Viva Forever and will be directed by Judy Cramer, who directed the film version of Mamma Mia!.
The film will be a musical like Spice World and will feature fourteen of the hit songs including "Wannabe," "2 Become 1," "Who Do You Think Are?" and "Say You'll Be There."
Emma also mentioned that the girls planned on creating a sequel after the release of Spice World, but due to an album release and a tour the film was put on hold. Shortly after that, Geri then left the group.
Cramer is also helping the girls turn their songs into a highly anticipated musical entitled Viva Forever, which will debut in the West End in November.
