Brooke Burke-Charvet has graced numerous magazine covers and has been regularly ranked high on many men’s magazines sexiest women alive lists. But, right now, she’s in the spotlight as the co-host alongside Tom Bergeron of the hit ABC reality dancing competition show, Dancing with the Stars.TheCelebrityCafe.com’s Sari N. Kent got the chance to talk to Brooke about what it’s like hosting the popular show, motherhood and her joining forces with Brita in a campaign to encourage kids to swap sugary drinks and drink more water.

SNK: Of course my first question is, what is it like co-hosting Dancing with the Stars?

BBC: It’s a blast! I think it’s one of the greatest shows on and a great gig for me as a host. And I have a personal connection to the show cause I competed.

SNK: Since it’s an All-Star season of the show and you and Derek Hough took home the Mirror Ball trophy in season 7, were you asked to forgo your co-hosting duties to compete in this All-Star season?

BBC: No.

SNK: Besides juggling all of your Hollywood commitments, your first book, The Naked Mom: A Modern Mom's Fearless Revelations, Savvy Advice, and Soulful Reflections was published last year. What made you decide to write a book for other moms and how did you find the time?

BBC: Well, I’m always sharing my life’s experiences as a mom and I just think it’s important to share these things with other women. I wrote it at night, it took me about a year and it was a very personal memoir.

SNK: You recently teamed with Brita and the Alliance for a Healthier Generation in a campaign to encourage kids to swap sugary drinks and drink more water, can you tell me a little more about that?

BBC: Well, I was at a public school in Pasadena today giving out hundreds of bottles to the student body. Telling the students about drinking more water, less sugar. As a parent, teaching our children to make healthier choices, I drink a lot of water, my kids drink a lot of water. I’m not a fan of sugary beverages. Water, I think, is the most important thing.

SNK: You’re also the spokeswoman for the Sketchers sneakers BOBS Collection, which helps children worldwide. The movement has already helped donate more than a million pairs of shoes to children in the U.S. and more than 25 countries around the world. Can you tell me how you became involved with that and more about the campaign?

BBC: I have a long relationship with them. I think the Buy One, Get One is fabulous thing and it’s a great campaign.
