USA has picked up Burn Notice for a seventh season but will be decreasing it from the show's normal 18 episodes down to 13 episodes.

"Burn Notice is like a fine wine that gets better with age. Delivering high-octane action, gripping drama and nearly 7 million viewers for the mid-season finale, this veteran series is a proven staple of our portfolio," USA Network co-presidents Chris McCumber and Jeff Wachtel said in a statement, reports Entertainment Weekly.

Fans of Michael Westen and the gang needn't worry that the downgrade in episodes could foreshadow the seventh season being its last. According to a USA spokesperson there's "no expectation" that Burn Notice will end next season, reported Entertainment Weekly. The decrease comes due to an increase in expenses as the show progresses. It will also reach its 100-episode milestone early next season.

The second half of Burn Notice's sixth season returns with a two hour premiere Thursday at 9 PM on USA.

Other USA dramas that will be back in January include White Collar, Suits and Necessary Roughness, according to CinemaBlend.com.
