Maks Chmerkovskiy has talked about his future plans that may include other possibilities for the dancer besides competing on Dancing with the Stars.
"I have not made a decision about next season yet. To be honest, I have many offers and I might need a break," Chmerkovskiy told TV Guide.
His post comes after getting eliminated from Dancing with the Stars' All-Stars season with Kirstie Alley as well as having some of his comments about leaving the show taken out of context, according to The Huffington Post.
"What else do I have to do there after 15 seasons? It makes total sense. The audience can’t expect for me to want to stick around, and the producers can’t expect me to want to stick around," he had told the New York Post but host Tom Bergeron clarified the comments.
"He said that it was taken out of context. At the end of his contract, which runs through two more seasons, he’s thinking of pursuing acting ... He’s going to be with us beyond this season," Bergeron said.
Chmerkovskiy also talked about how much the show has changed especially with all the new dances the producers have added.
"What is a 'Caveman' hustle? What's a 'Surfer' flamenco? Who came up with that? It was amazing that Tom called them out. I couldn't understand it. I was like, 'Thank god we got eliminated!'' he said in his post.
For now he said that he and Alley will be back for the finale and following that he will be returning to the East Coast, his home, to help those affected by Hurricane Sandy.
"I cannot wait to get back home. I just want to help my friends and Sandy victims any way I can. When you're there, it's easier to understand and to grasp the whole situation and to help," Chmerkovskiy wrote.
Dancing with the Stars' finale airs live on Monday, November 26 at 8 p.m. ET and Tuesday, November 27 at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
