Vincent Irizarry, who played Dr. David Hayward on All My Children from 1997 until the soap went off the air in 2011, has signed on with Prospect Park for the online revival.

"Happy to share that I just signed on with Prospect Park for the All My Children reboot! Excited to bring dastardly Dr. David back to life, as he did for so many others, and to see my dear friends in Pine Valley once again. A great, big thank you to all the fans for your tenacity in keeping the hope alive. You’re awesome!!! Let’s all keep our fingers crossed together that it becomes a reality," Irizarry wrote on his Facebook page.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Prospect Park secured the rights to both All My Children and One Life to Live when ABC cancelled them in 2011. Producers for Prospect Park have also reached deals with SAG-AFTRA, the DGA and the WGA to resume production on both soaps as soon as January.

It was originally planned to have them air online in 2011 but if they continue to sign more cast members to reprise their roles, episodes could start airing online in 2013.
