Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman announced in October that after 30 years of marriage the couple was separating, but now it seems as if a reconciliation could possibly be in their future.
"It's not something you adjust to. Rhea and I are really close. Actually, still together, just separate, but together," DeVito told Extra correspondent Jerry Penacoli in a recent interview, reports TMZ.
DeVito and Perlman met in 1970 when the actress went to see a friend in “The Shrinking Bride,” a Broadway play that DeVito was in, reports The Huffington Post. She fell for DeVito and they were married on January 28, 1982. The two of them also have three children together who are now adults named Lucy, Grace and Jacob.
Penacoli asked DeVito about the chances of him and Perlman getting back together and the actor answered, "We’re working on it.”
Rumors that the two may be getting back together started when they were spotted at an airport together just a few weeks ago.
DeVito currently stars on FX's It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
