Kristen Stewart has confirmed the rumors and revealed that she will star alongside Ben Affleck in the comedy Focus.
"I can confirm that rumor. It's a comedy. I'm really excited about it. We start shooting in April," Stewart said, addressing the rumors that began last month, according to The Huffington Post.
Focus is about a veteran con man, played by Affleck, who gets involved with an inexperienced con artist, played by Stewart. Their relationship turns romantic yet chaotic due to the business they're in. They eventually meet up again in the future but are haunted by their last encounter, reports Aceshowbiz. The film will be directed by Glenn Ficarra and John Requa.
The film also reportedly calls for "passionate" love scenes with Stewart, 22, and Affleck, 40.
Originally the roles were offered to Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone but things didn't go as planned and Ficarra and Requa looked to Affleck during their search for the female lead.
Stewart's next film is On the Road, which is scheduled to be released on December 21.
