Rumors have been going around that Rosie O'Donnell may replace Sharon Osbourne as a judge on America's Got Talent but NBC has revealed those rumors to be false.
"NBC is not in talks with Rosie O’Donnell for America’s Got Talent and has no future plans for her to be a judge," said a spokesperson for the network, as quoted by Deadline.
This news comes just days after The Huffington Post quoted a friend of Howard Stern who said, "Rosie and Howard have had a tough past but now they are great friends. He thinks she is a great talent and will bring a new energy to that show."
The rumors really started to fly after O'Donnell was quoted saying, "I am very interested in doing America’s Got Talent with Howard Stern and I am talking to them."
NBC denied that they were talking with her but did reveal that she will appear on the network.
"She will be playing herself on an upcoming episode of Smash when Bombshell opens on Broadway," the spokesperson said.
