Rose McGowan has been cast to portray a younger version of Cora, played by Barbara Hershey on ABC's Once Upon a Time.
Once Upon a Time goes back in time regularly to reveal the Storybrooke residents' former lives in fairy tale land. In the episode McGowan will appear in the show will jump further into the past to reveal the origin of Cora, reports Deadline.
"So thrilled to have @Rosemcgowan joining us on #OnceUponATime -- welcome Rose! So grateful you agreed to come aboard," the show's co-creator Adam Horowitz tweeted Wednesday.

McGowan previously played Paige Matthews on Charmed for five years. She has starred in films like Conan, Grindhouse and Deathproof and Lifetime's The Pastor's Wife, according to E! News.
The Hollywood Reporter also revealed earlier this month that Once Upon A Time will be one of the TV shows taking part in the 2013 Paleyfest.
