Mike Tyson will make his television acting debut when he guest stars on Law & Order: SVU as a convicted murderer.
Tyson's character is named Reggie Rhodes is a murderer on death row who had an unfortunate childhood and, in turn, became a very violent person, reports E! News.
During an SVU investigation, Rhodes' case attracts the attention of Detective Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and defense attorney Bayard Ellis (recurring guest star Andre Braugher).
Ed Asner guest stars in the episode as well, playing someone connected to the investigation.
Tyson has played himself on a few TV comedies like Who’s The Boss, Entourage and Breaking In and of course played himself on the big screen in The Hangover franchise, according to Deadline. But his guest appearance on Law & Order: SVU will mark his first major acting gig.
Deadline also reported that although Law & Order: SVU dipped five percent Wednesday from the previous week’s season high rating, the series still drew in an audience of 8.3 million and hit a viewership season high on Wednesday.
