The late Amy Winehouse might be honored by the city of London by having a road named after her.
The road is in King’s Cross, London and the possibilities for the name are reportedly Winehouse Way and Winehouse Street.
According to Capital FM, her father, Mitch Winehouse, is also trying to get a statue of the “Back to Black” singer up in Camden.
He seemed delighted that his daughter’s name would live on in the form of a street name, telling The Sun, “To think that our surname would be indelibly linked with London through the naming of a street after Amy is remarkable.”
He added, "We're a London family through and through and it would be a tremendous honour if we do become a literal part of the fabric of this great city."
The singer, who died of accidental alcohol poisoning after battling addiction for years, will also get a tribute in the form of a documentary film about her life.
