Peggy may have lost a few friends, but her success in nailing Heinz Ketchup has her shopping for a new apartment.

There's an ad award show and Megan and Don head out to it. Megan sees Peggy and heads over to talk, but Don doesn't want to talk to her.

Paul Newman is there, but they never show him, it's just a man speaking. He announces he's supporting Gene McCarthy and it causes some strange uproar there, but it turns out it's news of death of Martin Luther King. Everyone seems a bit panicked in New York.

Don offers to give Peggy a ride home.

Michael's dad has a pretty young school teacher he set up for Michael to go on a date with. It was arranged between the parents, and Michael got pretty upset that he was put on the spot. It goes very well, but news about Dr. King cuts the date short.

Betty is a big part of this episode. After spending time with the mayor dealing with unrest in the city, he decide' he'll run for a state senate seat. Betty is on board.

Pete calls Trudy, he said he wants to go back home to her since everyone is taking the news tough. She declines him.

Everyone is very disturbed by the assassination in New York. Megan is very distraught, even though she won her award for a baked beans ad from her time in SCDP.

It turns out SCDP is set to lose big money on all of the commercial-free news coverage that's been happening. Harry is pretty upset about this and it causes a shouting match between him and Pete. Pete calls him insensitive and a racist.

Most of everything happens outside of the workplace, and there is a strong somber vibe among everyone as they deal with their family. Everyone has the news on.

After Betty has to haggle Don to spend time with his kids, he takes his son to the movies since he is grounded from watching TV.

The show concludes with Don talking with Megan towards that shows just how numb he feels about having children, and that he doesn't feel love for them. He thinks it has a lot to do with how he was raised without a father.

Finally, he takes some time to talk to his kid, who has some trouble going to sleep.
