1. “Victor Lord Jr.” – Okay, you knew this was coming. Last we saw Victor, he was presumed dead, shot by Todd BUT as is the long held tradition of the soap opera genre, nothing is as it seems. We learned that Victor was in fact alive and well and being held captive by nutjob Alison Perkins. His wife Téa was devastated by his “death” and judging from the promos, still hasn’t gotten over his “loss.” He brought sensuality to the character of Todd, when everyone including himself thought he was actually Todd Manning (with a different face) but was later revealed to be Victor, Todd’s twin brother. Todd vengefully shot and “killed” Victor because he blamed for stealing his life. Don’t you so want Victor to escape from Alison’s clutches, reunite with Téa and go back to wreaking havoc on Llanview’s residents in his signature style?

2. “Jessica Buchannan” – Jessica hasn’t had it easy. She’s loved many men, lost the love of her life, Nash Brennan tragically, had two stillborn children and had to endure being sexually abused, which caused her to develop DID, which brought out a bunch of personalities that caused her additional anguish. But, she does have two healthy kids, Bree and Ryder. Thankfully, last we saw her she learned that Clint was her biological father NOT the evil Mitch Lawrence. Her sister, Natalie, will be seen on the reboot so shouldn’t we know what Jessica has been up to?

3. “Max Holden” – The Llanview scoundrel. He came to Llanview in 1987 and was immediately embroiled in a love triangle between Tina Lord and Gabrielle Medina. He chose Tina but when at their wedding, she said Cord’s name instead of his, that relationship was kaput. Then, he fell for actress Megan Gordon but that relationship ended when under oath, Max was forced to admit he still had feelings for Gabrielle. Max and Gabrielle married but then Max was presumed dead but resurfaced with a new face but Gabrielle’s infidelity ultimately ended their long romance. Then, Max met the two women who would change his life, Blair Cramer and Luna Moody. Max went back and forth between the two women but ultimately chose the wonderfully kooky Luna. They married, had twins and were happy until Luna was tragically gunned down by a gang member in Angel Square. Max would later be involved with other women, like Maggie Carpenter and Skye Chandler but his connection to Blair was always there. They schemed to make Asa believe that Max was his son to get his money but that fell apart. Max was later rocked by his son Al’s death. Max then left Llanview to be near his surviving children. Upon hearing of Asa's passing, Max returned to Llanview briefly to be with Renee during her time of need. While he was visiting, Max asked Blair to return with him to Argentina to start a life together, but she declined.

4. “Antonio Vega” – Antonio, Christian’s older brother, spent six years in Statesville Prison for murder. In 1995, Police Commissioner Bo Buchanan made a deal with Antonio to release him early if he helped Bo flush out the dirty cop who was selling stolen guns to the teenage gangs in Angel Square. Antonio worked with police officer Andy Harrison, Max Holden’s sister. Antonio was set up by the real gun runner but was eventually exonerated. While being partners, Andy and Antonio fell in love. They married and left town for California after Antonio was accepted into law school there, but Antonio returned in 2000, after divorcing Andy after she had an affair. After that, Antonio had romances with Roseanne Delgado, Prof. Keri Reynolds and eventually Jessica Buchannan. Antonio’s relationship with Keri produced a son, Jamie, and Antonio also learned that his beloved mother, Carlotta, was not his real mother. He learned he was actually the son of infamous crime lord Manuel Santi, Carlotta’s brother. Carlotta and her husband had adopted Antonio, whose real name was Manuelito Santi, to protect him from Manuel. Needless to say, Antonio was devastated and broke up with Jessica. Jessica later revealed that she was pregnant but by then, her alter, Tess, had emerged and had begun a relationship with the wealthy Nash Brennan. Antonio was sad to learn the baby wasn’t his but was determined to forge a life with Jessica and baby Bree. They married in November 2006 but Jessica contracted Hepatitis C as a result of Tess' wild lifestyle and needed a liver transplant. While waiting for a suitable donor, Jessica admitted her feelings for Nash to Antonio, who was furious and left town with Jaime. After learning that Antonio was a donor match, Nash tracked him down and convinced him to return to save Jessica. Antonio donated his liver, but Jessica rejected the transplant and had to have another transplant from another donor. Jessica and Antonio divorced in July 2007. Antonio would eventually fall in love with Talia Sahid, a fellow police officer, but she was murdered by a serial killer. Last fans saw of Antonio was him saying his final respects to Talia and leaving Llanview with Jamie for good.

5. “Marcie Walsh McBain” - In 2002, fans were introduced to Marcie, who was a student at Llanview University and volunteer at the local hospital. A good natured girl without a whole lot of friends, Marcie allowed herself to be talked into changing sonogram results for her new friend Jen Rappaport. At about the same time, Marcie began an unlikely friendship with Al Holden, Max Holden’s son. The two eventually fell in love. But, when Al saved Marcie after she was attacked and was thrown in a dumpster, he caught a disease and became deathly ill. Although, his mother, Gabrielle, was able to donate part of her liver, Al's liver was way too damaged from his previous drug use and he died. But, Al and Marcie’s love transcended even death. Appearing to Marcie in visions, Al saw his chance to be with her in Marcie's new acquaintance, Michael McBain, a hardened, bitter young doctor who had lost his soul. When Michael died with Marcie present, Al's soul entered Michael's body. However, there was a catch--Marcie believed him to be Michael. That same day, Al's deceased stepmother, Luna, told Al that he only had until Valentine's Day to make Marcie recognize him. On Valentine's Day, Marcie finally realized the truth when she saw Al in Michael's eyes. Al then told Marcie that although his spirit had to go to heaven, Michael would have his soul. With Al gone, Michael found himself in full control of his body, although his memories of courting Marcie were intact. Marcie went through lots of other situations during her time in Llanview, including losing baby Tommy, but it all ended well since last we saw of Marcie, she and Michael finally had a baby of their own, who they named Gabriel, in honor of Al’s deceased mother, Gabrielle, and moved to Seattle.

6. “Joey Buchannan” – Joey, Viki’s son with her husband Joe Riley, was always rambunctious. Through the years, he was involved with many women, Kelly Cramer, Jen Rappaport, Aubrey Wentworth but his most memorable relationship, and many might argue the one that made him a man was his relationship with the much older Dorian Lord. At first, Dorian set out to seduce Joey as payback to her archenemy Viki, but along the way, she fell in love with “Joe,” and he with her. Of course, when Viki found out, she was mortified and tried to show Joey that Dorian was just using him but he professed his love for her and Dorian did the same. Unfortunately, family strife and Joey falling in love with Dorian’s niece, Kelly, ended their May-December romance, but when Joey came back for Asa’s funeral and ended up with Kelly, fans could still see a spark between the two.

7. “Rex Balsom” – Rex Balsom was taken away from his mother, Roxanne, and was sent to live in Michigan with his Aunt Corinne. With dreams of hitting it rich running through his head, Rex saw his opportunity in 2003 when he was sought out by the wealthy Jessica Buchanan. At that point, Jessica had learned that she was Roxanne's daughter, not Viki’s thanks to Mitch Lawrence, and she was anxious to get to know her real family. With dollar signs in his eyes, Rex followed Jessica to her home in Llanview. Although Jessica later learned that she wasn't Roxanne's daughter, Rex stayed in town with his mother and Natalie, whom he had always viewed as his sister. Rex connived with Jen Rappaport then fell in love with Adrianna Cramer. But, once Gigi Morasco, his high school sweetheart, turned up in Llanview, all bets were off. Rex was involved in some pretty crazy happenings around town, all in his quest to be rich but stepped up when he thought he was the father of Gigi’s sister Stacy’s baby. It turned out he wasn’t and in an ironic twist of fate, learned he was indeed rich as his biological father was Clint Buchannan, from his long ago relationship with Echo DiSavoy, so he and Jessica WERE brother and sister after all. In the end, Rex and Gigi and their son Shane found their happy ending and moved to London.

8. “Christian Vega” – Fans were introduced to Christian as a teen living in Llanview’s harsh neighborhood of Angel Square. The tough teen with a heart of gold had it rough but resisted following in his older brother, Antonio’s footsteps and joining a gang. He and Jessica Buchannan met and the two started dating despite her father, Clint’s objections. Art was Christian’s other love and tried desperately to win a scholarship to art school. Despite Christian and Jessica’s love for each other, Will, Jessica’s new stepbrother and Roseanne, Téa’s cousin schemed to keep them apart. Many trials and tribulations riddled Christian’s life over the years, including having relationships with Jen Rappaport and Natalie Buchannan, being presumed dead and brainwashed. Though after it all, Christian and Jessica tried to see if the spark between as teens still burned, after one last kiss they determined that they had out grown each other and Christian moved to Spain after he was offered a teaching job there. The last we saw of Christian, he arrived at the university in Barcelona, where he met a female teacher who reminded him of the teenage Jessica he had fallen in love with.

9. ‘Gigi Morasco Balsom” – Fans were first introduced to Gigi when Viki met her in Paris, Texas, after she left Llanview to embark on a new life. She and Gigi were waitresses at a local café and immediately forged a friendship. Gigi had a grown son named Shane, who’s father, according to Gigi, was a deceased Navy SEAL, but we eventually learned that Rex Balsom and Gigi were high school sweethearts and Shane was their son. Gigi came to Llanview to testify on Marcie’s behalf after she ran away to Texas with baby Tommy. After that was over, Gigi decided to stay in town but Rex was already dating Adrianna, Dorian’s long-lost daughter, but still harbored feelings for Gigi. Gigi, meanwhile, was dating Brody Lovett, a former Navy SEAL. But, neither Adrianna nor Brody could keep Gigi and Rex apart. Even Gigi’s scheming sister, Stacy, who said Rex was the father of her baby couldn’t keep them apart. Gigi never lost her spunk throughout everything she went through even a scuffle with a back from the dead Stacy, who had gotten plastic surgery to look like Gigi to finally nab Rex. Gigi was presumed dead but it was in fact she NOT Stacy who was killed and the last we saw Gigi and Rex, who married soon after the reveal, and Shane, left town together since Shane got a full scholarship to prestigious art school in London.

10. ‘Kelly Cramer Buchannan” – Kelly first came to Llanview after being kicked out of boarding school. Naturally being Dorian’s niece she was destined to cause some mayhem and boy did she ever. She and Jessica became fast friends and a formed a lasting bond. She came to town acting all worldly when it fact she was really just postering and was innocent when it came to boys. Her first relationship was with Joey Buchannan, then his brother Kevin, which led to an on again-off again romance that included elopement, betrayal (because Kelly slept with Kevin’s grown son Duke, who later perished in a tornado) and divorce. But, as a result of her night with Duke, Kelly became pregnant. Since Kevin was sterile thanks to surgeon Spencer Truman so she had to confess her infidelity. Kelly gave birth to Zane and she and Kevin did eventually reconcile and move to London. But, Kelly realized her feelings for Joey never really disappeared and he felt the same so last we saw Kelly, she had moved back to London with Joey and Zane as a family.
