Prince William and Catherine, The Duchess of Cambridge celebrated their second wedding anniversary today, April 29.
The past two years have been marked with many memorable moments including the royal wedding at Westminster Abbey, which was watched by many around the world, a joint trip to the US and Canada in 2011, and of course, at the end of last year, the royal couple announced that a royal baby is on the way.
According to People this year, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge couldn’t spend their actual anniversary together. Kate attended a charity event and William went to work as a Royal Air Force pilot.
Though any other anniversary plans are kept under wraps, Us Weekly reports they did get to have an early celebration this weekend. According to the report they went out for a private dinner on Friday, April 26. They then reportedly spent spent a private weekend in Norfolk.
A source for the magazine said they exchanged “appropriate gifts."
Next year, plans will be very different since they’ll become parents this summer. They are expecting a baby in July.
