Saturday Night Live promises several weeks of stardom leading up to the season finale. Argo actor/director Ben Affleck is set to host the May 18 finale, but not before fans see the return of SNL alum Kristin Wigg as host on May 11 and Zach Galifianakis on May 4.
Kanye West is set to appear as musical guest on the finale, E! News reports, with Vampire Weekend appearing on May 11 and Of Monsters and Men to accompany The Hangover actor on May 4.
Rolling Stone reports that Affleck’s return to the SNL set will mark the award winning actor/director’s fifth time hosting, and West’s fifth time as musical guest.
Hollywood Life reports that despite the excitement surrounding West’s return as guest, he is afraid that the popular comedy skit show will make fun of his pregnant reality star girlfriend Kim Kardashian.
“Kanye as musical guest is a great get for SNL, but of course the writers want to push the envelope and take advantage of it with a Kim Kardashian skit,” an NBC executive reportedly tells Radar Online.
The 38th season of SNL wraps up on May 18.
