As fans reengage themselves in the lives of the Bluth family this weekend, creator Mitch Hurwitz is grateful for the support he received for the show’s fourth season. The series was cancelled after three seasons, but with enough support from fans, who went to every extent to bring the show back, Netflix ordered 15 additional episodes for the show’s fourth season.

In a handwritten note posted on the Arrested Development Facebook, Hurwitz addresses his “friends, fans, supporters, detractors, haters, enemies, and arch enemies.” He then suggests that viewers watch the episodes in order because they build.

He also suggests viewers don’t watch all the episodes right in a row. In a recent interview with http://www.wired.com/underwire/2013/05/arrested-development-creator-mitch-hurwitz/>Wired, Hurwitz says, “I think of it more like writing a mini series than something {for} binge-watching. Personally, I think that will be very fatiguing and will lose some of the fun of being able to mull on it.”

“But really this is yours now,” Hurwitz ends the letter. “Except for the obvious copyright issues. And you have to subscribe to Netflix. So it’s not completely yours I guess.”

The 15 new episodes are available on Netflix as of 12:01am on May 26.
