With just two weeks to go before the revival of Arrested Development premieres, Netflix has released the first trailer to prove to fans that everyone is back.
The minute and a half long trailer shows Michael Bluth (Jason Bateman) returning from a flight to meet George Michael (Michael Cera) at college, only to find that his cousin Maeby (Alia Shawkat) is his son’s roommate. There’s also plenty of hilarious references to past episodes, with Tobias (David Cross) still trying to make it as an actor and Gob (Will Arnett) still using magic to impress the ladies. Lucille (Jessica Walter), Lindsay (Portia De Rossi), George Sr. (Jeffrey Tambor) and Buster (Tony Hale) also make appearances in the trailer.
While the plot has been kept a secret, De Rossi recently spoke with ABC News, noting that the craziest thing she’s had to do for the show is do a sex scene, 1970s porn style. That’s just one of the more outlandish things all the characters have to do in the fourth season.
Arrested Development originally ran on Fox for just three seasons, but it has lived on as a cult show and critical favorite. The new season will include 15 episodes, with each focusing on a different character. Guest stars include Liza Minnelli, Judy Greer, John Krasinski, Henry Winkler and Ben Stiller.
The new season premieres on May 26.
