Many fans have asked for it, and they sure got it! Arrested Development is doing something special for the fans by having a season 4 showing 15 episodes beginning May 26th on Netflix.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the people to celebrate for this resurrection are the fans. All the people that have found the show on Netflix, Hulu, and have bought the show on DVD are the ones to celebrate. After the heavy reaction of the show being cancelled by FOX in 2006, someone must have been moved because they put the show back on the air for one more 15 episode season.
The Emmy award series created by Mitchell Hurwitz is going to be reintroduced by being a prequel to the very possible Arrested Development movie that could be in store according to Pulse:
“There was so much talk about (making a movie) and we thought, wouldn't it be great to still do the movie but give everybody this thing they didn't see coming?" said Mitchell Hurwitz.
“One of the things I always loved about doing the show was, it was a chance to break the mold a little bit. The master plan is to do these episodes and then do the movie, where the family is altogether. And it’s very much written and directed in that direction. It all leads up to a bigger story, it’s kind of the preamble, although hopefully it’ll be satisfying in its own right….”
During an Interview with EW, the cast and crew of arrested development told all inside this miracle comeback:
“One of the jokes of the show has always been that Michael (Jason Bateman) is the guy in the middle, and he’s the most normal one. To me he’s also the craziest one, because he’s the one that needs this the most and puts up with the most. What’s that all about?
After anticipation of wanting to know what its all about, he relieves us with some more slight humor.
Everyone who’s reading this probably thinks they’re the sane one in their family, right? Does anybody read this and think, ‘Oh, I’m the weird uncle?’ Of course not. So what I like about this [season] is that it gives us a chance to see everyone from their own perspective. And as a result, it’s a challenging comedic choice, because we’re taking comic characters and saying, ‘Okay, you’re going to be the lead now.’”
The excitement is booming and all of this is going to be crazy and wild like the series had never even left.
“It’s metaphorically and actually about the death of the Postal Service.”
Fans have a right to be very excited about the comeback seeing as though they almost single handedly brought the series back. With selling 3 million copies of the show and still counting, the fans have gotten their wish and more.
