The former 30 Rock star Alec Baldwin has been hired to host NatGeo’s new summer programming block Night of Exploration.

The series will kick off on June 14 as part of the network’s Friday primetime lineup. According to Deadline, the first episode will be titled Crossing the Ice, about a group of Australians trying to go to Antarctica and the South Pole unassisted. Future episodes will feature other amazing expeditions.

NatGeo also announced other new shows that will premiere this summer, including Battleground Afghanistan, which follows a group of Marines fighting in Afghanistan. There’s also The Castle, a spinoff from the popular Doomsday Preppers. It is about a South Carolina man who aims to build a castle in South Carolina to protect his family in case of a major power outage.

Inside the American Job looks at the mob in America and Inside Secret America is a show hosted by investigative journalists who look at the major topics affecting the country today. Finally, Eyewitness War follows the men and women in the Army, Navy, Drug Enforcement Administration, Coast Guard and other agencies as they do their jobs.

Doomsday Preppers and Taboo USA are among the shows returning this summer.
