American Horror Story's Evan Peters has been cast as Quicksilver in Bryan Singer directed X-Men: Days of Future Past.
According to E! News, Singer announced the exciting news via Twitter, Thursday evening.
“Before he was an #Avenger, he was just a REALLY fast kid. Thrilled to say #EvanPeters is joining #XMen #DaysOfFuturePast as #Quicksilver,” he wrote.
Peters will join the already star-studded cast which consists of Jennifer Lawrence, Halle Berry, Michael Fassbender, Hugh Jackman, Ellen Page and James McCovy among many others.
The sequel is slated to join old and new characters in an attempt to time travel in the hopes of altering an event which could mean the end of humanity.
Joss Whedon recently announced that The Avengers 2 will see both Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, Chicago Tribune notes. It is unclear if Evans will hold onto the role of Quicksilver for The Avengers sequel.
X Men: Days of Future Past will hit theaters July 2014.
