American Idol alum Jennifer Hudson has reportedly signed on to take a seat on the judging panel.

Hudson's addition to the judging panel has not been confirmed to the network yet, however E! News reports that the announcement should be made soon, in addition to potentially adding on AI alums Kelly Clarkson, Adam Lambert or Clay Aiken.

Vulture, which first reported the news, has just reported that Hudson is already in. Of course, Fox hasn't said anything yet.

Hudson's potential addition to the show comes after Randy Jackson announced his departure from the show after 12 seasons. Reports surfaced earlier this month stating that production is planning on revamping the show in the hopes of regaining the viewership they once held. According to E!, this season of Idol lost 10 million viewers.

Nick Minaj is reportedly the next to go, with Mariah Carey expected to follow suit. The fate of Keith Urban is still unclear, but sources note that executive producer Nigel Lythgoe is also expected to be given the boot.

A source tells E! “It's Idol alums bringing in the next generation.”
