Former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver have not gotten officially divorced and are in no rush to do so, according to a new report.
Sources for TMZ say that there are two reasons for not rushing to court to legally end the marriage. First is the fact that they are so rich, there won’t be a fight over money. They are reportedly worth $400 million and are ready to evenly split that in half and the custody issues over their children are all settled.
Another possibility is that they still have feelings for each other. After all, Schwarzenegger has said multiple times that he has hoped to work things out with her and that he still loves her. TMZ’s sources say that they often tell family members that they still plan on getting a divorce, but also say they still have feelings for the other.
Another source has told the site that Shriver, who is going back to The Today Show, is looking for an amicable divorce since she knows that Schwarzenegger has been dating someone lately.
Schwarzenegger and Shriver did go to their daughter Christina’s graduation together last week and were all smiles.
Shriver filed for divorce back in 2011 after it was discovered that Schwarzenegger had a love child with a housemaid.
