Tim Lambesis, lead singer of As I Lay Dying, plead not guilty in court Thursday on charges that he hired a hitman to kill his estranged wife.

LA Times reports that Tim plead not guilty in a San Diego Superior Court on Thursday. Judge Martin Staven set his bail at $3 million and ordered him to wear a GPS monitor once he is released.

According to divorce papers filed by Meggan, alleges that Tim was emotionally distant, preoccupied with touring and working out, and spending money frivolously.

Officials state that they learned of Tim’s desire to kill his wife after he allegedly told someone at the gym that he wanted her dead. The 32-year-old singer paid $1,000 to an undercover officer, gave him the address and computer pass code to the home.

The couple has three adopted children from Ethiopia, Tim is ordered to stay away from the children and Meggan.
