Beyonce sat down with ABC’s Good Morning America and talked candidly about her life. The usually private singer, who is currently on her Mrs. Carter Tour, spoke about the controversial trip to Cuba she took with her husband, protecting their daughter and more.

Amy Robach from ABC caught up with Beyonce in London, where her tour is stopped, and they talked about an array of topics.

On the Cuba trip, which the couple took for their fifth wedding anniversary, Beyonce said it was “quite shocking” how much backlash they received

“You know, it was such a beautiful trip. I met some incredible children. I visited some incredible entrepreneurs. And it was really, it was really educational for me. I learned so much about so many people and the country, and it was actually quite shocking," she said, ABC News reports.

She continued about her daughter with Jay-Z, Blue Ivy, that she’s “very protective” over her.

"I just want to make sure that she can have a healthy, safe, normal life … in the back of my mind, she's my priority,” she explained. “And life is completely different now. So I'm - I feel really, really just lucky that I can still do what I love, and now have a way bigger meaning. And that's to be her mother."

As for plans to give Blue a younger sibling, that is definitely in the plan. "I would like more children. I think my daughter needs some company. I definitely love being big sister,” she said.

Although she’s achieved great amounts of success, the “Single Ladies” singer claims she’s the same person she’s always been.

“At the end of the day you’re the same exact person,” she said. “I still like the simple things. Like, I have on my press-on nails right now. I have on my store-bought press-on nails. But my color, my paint is professionally done.”
