The beloved banana stand from “Arrested Development” set up shop in Manhattan to promote the show’s new season.

Fans waited in line in Manhattan on Monday May 13 to purchase a frozen banana from the hit television show “Arrested Development”. The show was cancelled in 2006 after three seasons, but it scheduled to make its return on May 26. The new season will stream exclusively on Netflix.com.

reports that 2,000 chocolate-covered frozen bananas were given away to fans this morning. Die-hard lovers of the Bluth family waited around the block to taste a frozen banana and celebrate the show’s return. Earlier this week, fans waited for up to six hours in London, where the promotional tour for the new season began.

A rep for the show revealed that the stand would continue to “pop up” around New York this week before traveling to Los Angeles to continue the tour. interviewed fans tasting their first frozen bananas. “It’s kind of genius,” one fan gushed. Another “self-described ‘Arrested Development’ fan” said she would have added nuts to her banana, “but it’s alright.”
