Bob Dylan's birthday will be honored at the Worcester Art Museum. According the The Huffington Post the museum has a current exhibit called, "Kennedy to Kent State: Images of a generation." The exhibit features images of Dylan and is offering free admission to anyone who dresses up as Dylan. Also Dylan's "appropriation-based painting practice" is a theme present in the exhibit.
Bob Dylan was also recently was deemed unworthy to be a Légion d'honneur recipient by the grand chancellor of the Légion d'honneur according to The Guardian.General Jean-Louis Georgelin didn't approve of Dylan's cannabis use and anti-war activism stated The Guardian. Dylan does however bare the French Orde des Arts et des Lettres.
According to RTTNews Dylan was also made an honorary member of the American Academy of Arts and Letters because of his mark on the creative arts. He was made an honorary member because he didn't fit into a mold. Executive director Virginia Dejani wrote of Dylan, "It was decided that he is a very multitalented person whose work was so unusual for what he has accomplished that it defies categorization." But according to RollingStone Music Dylan did not attend the induction.
Also on May 29, 2012 Dylan received the Presidential Medal of Freedom from President Obama. Dylan is participating in The AmericanaramA Festival, which June 26 and has 27 stop across the country.
