Grammy Award winning singer Carrie Underwood and husband Mike Fisher are resting comfortably as husband and wife. The American Idol alum explains in an interview with Marie Claire that she isn’t quite ready to expand her family just yet.
According to E! News Underwood graces the cover of the June issue of Marie Claire where she discusses her thoughts on motherhood, slasher movies and her “only child syndrome.”
“Technically I have siblings, but they are quite a bit older than me — I was the accident — so I have the only-child syndrome going on,” she tells the magazine. “I'm a little more selfish, a little more independent, a little closed.”
Fans get a better look into the like of Underwood, who explains she hasn’t seen Les Miserable yet as she opted to see Texas Chainsaw instead of drama. The “Before He Cheats” singer also opens up about her style of music, stating that she would rather not subject people to hearing about her problems.
"I don't want to listen to everybody's problems all the time," she says. "And I doubt anybody wants to listen to mine."
Underwood also touched on the topic of motherhood stating, “I don't feel old enough to have kids…I know I am mature. But being responsible for another human?"
