While CBS has a whopping 20 shows returning, the network managed to throw a few surprises in its Fall 2013 schedule. The eye network has re-worked Thursdays so that The Big Bang Theory kicks off a new two-hour comedy block, which has pushed Person of Interest to Tuesdays.

Mondays will still have its own two-hour block, but without Mike & Molly in the fall. The Melissa McCarthy series has surprisingly been pushed to midseason to make room for Mom, another series from Chuck Lorre. That series stars Anna Faris as a single mom with Allison Janney as her mother. We Are Men with Chris Smith, Kal Penn and Tony Shalhoub will get the troublesome 8:30 slot after How I Met Your Mother. That slot has been a death trap for CBS, with 2012’s Partners getting pulled after just a few episodes.

Hawaii Five-0 also got banished to Fridays. The Monday 10 p.m. slot will be the home of Hostages in the fall and Intelligence in mid-season. Intelligence should be particularly interesting, since it brings Lost standout Josh Holloway back to TV. Hostages stars Dylan McDermott.

On Thursdays, Big Bang will kick off things as usual, with Two and a Half Men getting pushed all the way to 9:30. New shows The Millers and Robin Williams’ The Crazy Ones will air in between. Elementary, the only new show from the current season CBS picked up, will keep the Thursday 10 p.m. slot.
