CBS announced Wednesday that it will add a Bad Teacher spin-off to its fall lineup.
The 2011 Jake Kasden directed film starred Cameron Diaz as a trashy junior-high teacher who is pitted against another teacher. Jason Segal and Justin Timberlake also starred in the comedy which grossed roughly $216 million worldwide.
According to USA Today, the Bad Teacher spinoff has been given a midseason spot with Mystic River actress Ari Graynor as the foul-mouthed divorcee who uses teaching as a way to find a new husband after a nasty split from her beau.
Kristen David, David Alan Grier, Ryan Hansen and Sara Gilbert are also set to be join the cast.
Hilary Winston is set to pen the script and executive produces with Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky, The Hollywood Reporter notes.
