Former NFL wide receiver Chad Johnson is in trouble again, getting arrested for a probation violation in connection with last year’s domestic abuse incident with ex-wife Evelyn Lozada.

TMZ reported last week that a judge issued an arrest warrant for Johnson on May 7 after he didn’t report to his probation officer, violating the terms of his probation.

According to The Associated Press, Johnston was arrested Monday morning after a judge ruled that he did violate his probation. He will be held until he can post $1,000 bond.

Johnson, who was once known as ‘Chad Ochocinco,’ was arrested in August 2012 after he got into an argument with Lozada and headbutted her. Less than 24 hours later, he was released by the Miami Dolphins and has been without a team since. Johnson and Lozada had been married for a month before the incident and she later filed for divorce. They were supposed to do a reality show together, but Vh1 decided not to air a single episode.

TMZ also reported over the weekend that Johnson filed paperwork stating that he can’t pay child support to Andrea Pearson, the mother of one of his children. He said he can’t afford to pay her $5,420 a month, noting that he is a man without a team and unemployed.
