Renee Greene’s 30th birthday is rapidly approaching. Instead of focusing on what restaurant to hold the celebration, Greene is more concerned with her love life, or lack there of. So in a last attempt, Greene does something that she vowed she would never do: online dating.
Click: An Online Love Story explores the ups and downs of being a 30-year-old successful woman in Los Angeles. The story follows Renee and her three best friends (Mark who is over-compulsive, Ashley who is very judgmental and Shelley who is sex-obsessed).
The story is composed entirely of emails back and forth with Ccs, forwards and Bccs that interact with B-list celebrities, an egotistical male, an outdoors man and a one-night stand.
It’s in the jumble of emails and mouse clicks that Renee finds love, friendship and a full understanding of what it’s like to be a women living out her life in a sea of couples and makeup sex.
Clicking to find the right man may be harder than anything Renee has ever done before, but we all can’t help but root for her on her newest journey and match.
I can’t wait to see what author Lisa Becker has in store for her next novel.
