Country music star Kellie Pickler and her professional dance partner Derek Hough took home the mirror ball trophy on Tuesday night's Dancing with the Stars finale.
Pickler beat out Disney star Zendaya, Baltimore Ravens player Jacoby Jones and Olympic gymnast Alexandra Raisman to win the competition.
According to Fox News, Pickler and Hough were shocked to have been crowned champions, after falling in second place after Monday's performance show behind Zendaya and partner Val Chmerkovskiy. Pickler earned a majority of the viewer's votes, which was enough to catapult her to the top.
After Raisman was announced as the fourth-place finisher, the final three entered the Instant Dance round, where they performed to new music on the spot.
According to the New York Daily News, Jones and partner Karina Smirnoff danced a salsa while Pickler and Zendaya ended with a jive. All three dances earned a perfect score of 30 points from judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli.
Pickler's excitement and shock in her win was apparent, as she repeatedly screamed "oh my god" after the announcement was made. Jones and Ballas lifted her and Hough into the air at the end of the show in celebration of their victory.
ABC has announced that Dancing will only air Monday nights next season, cutting the Tuesday night result show, according to United Press International. Eliminations will take place at the end of the show, and it is unknown whether fewer contestants will be taken on or fans at home will still be able to vote.
